About Us

The Art of JoyTM

We're two sisters on a mission to spread the art of joyTM through creativity. We believe that everyone is creative and should be given the opportunity to dream, ideate and express themselves.

With the support of our parents, we launched Color Cruiser, LLC, our boutique art and craft store in 2017. We offer unique batik fabric painting kits. Batik is a traditional art form that can be found in many parts of Asia like Malaysia, Indonesia, and India. We were both introduced to batik painting during our trips to visit family in Malaysia when we were very young. And, this traditional art form stuck with us.We loved it so much that we wanted to introduce it to children and adults in the United States. We design these bakit kits ourselves and with some help from a batik manufacturer, we've evolved them to the wonderful products that we have for you today. Give them a try.

Giving Back

We Love Our Community

One of the main reasons why we're in business is to be able to give back to our community. Our focus here is to bring the art of joy to children and adults through batik painting. A percentage of our profit goes towards Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, California, and we support local schools through fundraisers.

It means the world to us that you're visiting our site. We appreciate your business and support.

Your champions of creativity,

Katelyn & Ashley

2020 Highlights

2020 brought us all a little closer even though we were in our respective homes. Here are some of the many highlights we were grateful for:

We shipped hundreds of batik kits to keep children and adults entertained at home. Our mail carrier became our best friend. 😀

Creativity kept us happy and hopeful throughout all corners of the country.

We were saddened to see families losing their income so we launched our little affiliate program to help those who wanted to supplement their income.

We were disappointed that some kids could not participate effectively in online school because they didn’t have computers. We are grateful for our small business because we were able to donate a computer to a student in need.

We launched new designs based on your feedback. Thank you!

We shared our experience running a business to inspire other youths to start their own businesses.

We held virtual classes for children, families and teams. We celebrated friendships, anniversaries, and birthdays with you.

We’re rated 5 stars on Etsy. Thanks so much for your reviews.

With your help, we raised $800 through our Paint For Life partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital so children could have health and hope.
